#MondayFunday – May the 4th be with you

Posted on May 04, 2015 by Kara in Monday Funday

Once upon a time, I was visiting a Catholic church for Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve. For those of you that are unfamiliar with Catholic services, there’s a time designated to pass peace to those around you. You would typically hear things like “Peace be with you” while neighbors shake hands, etc. I haven’t been to many Catholic services, but I understood how this part went down. I was shaking my neighbors’ hands when a small boy in front of me, maybe 5?, turned around to shake my hand and with a dead serious face said, “May the force be with you.” I couldn’t hold it together as I tried to say the response. Eventually, I finally sputtered out “And also with you.”

Today is “Star Wars” day, get it? May the fourth? It’s clever. It’s a day for Star Wars memes and marathons. An excuse to celebrate John Williams’ brilliant score and George Lucas’s incredible fantasy world. And a day to get super stoked about the VII episode (that is hopefully better than I-III, eek) that’s coming in December. Woo!

Happy Monday, everyone! And May the fourth be with you. :)
